This is the last PopSugar Must Have Box video! I missed out on November, sorry about that, but I managed to do 11/12! I would like to try to figure out how to edit, maybe add music (let's not get too crazy here) and GET BETTER LIGHTING, my god the lighting is bad. And everyone else has super cute backgrounds. If I want to continue making random videos, I need to figure those things out. Oh, and don't just wake up and do a video in my pajamas and bedhead. Or get distracted when a cats comes in the room. Okay, that last one is never going to happen.

  1. I think you do a great job just keeping the videos natural. I don't like when a video has been cut and edited to death /obviously filmed over several days. But understand why you would want to add music or stuff too I guess, but I don't think you should underrate how nice a natural, kitty scene stealing video can be! ;-) I like how gung ho you are with the products too! The lipstick looked pretty on you but I know what you mean about dark colours they are harder for me to wear too. And I like that you are honest when you thing something is not cute. I don't understand why the necklace was called snowfall, unless I missed something there was nothing snowy looking about it! ;-)

    1. The video's are 100% candid, no rehearsal or anything ;)

The necklace was very confusing, nothing snowflake about it! My kitty wasn't too happy about being picked up but she liked being put on the shelf.

Thanks so much for the feedback, it's hard to really know how the videos are perceived by other people that haven't ever met me.

  2. Oh, this was a great video! You do a great job with candid/unedited. I thought it was funny near the end when you were putting the hair serum in and then started just randomly playing with your hair. And Soya was hilarious! And then being on the shelf and she kept cocking her head and watching you. HA HA HA - great.
So, yeah...I'm the same way...I feel like I need to learn to edit and also have better background and make sure my lighting and sound is better. I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to do about sound in the forseeable future. I need to experiment with that. Anyway, so I am with you on that, BUT...it's awesome that your personality shows so much, so don't change that. :)

    1. I had to re-watch the video and I can totally see myself forgetting the point of me recording and just going off on tangents and then re-remembering XD, so yes, candid is my forte ;) STAY FOCUSED, HEATHER. Soya has learned that if she tilts her head, her chances of getting pets increases by 1000 percent. I've been wondering if I should try to record with my camera, because that is more mobile and I can pick the background better, but then I wouldn't be able to see what I was recording... I really don't know how to use my camera very well.

I think more of my personality comes out when I'm alone, strangely enough, I get shy and more reserved around people. Except my husband, he gets the full heather most of the time, and his usual response is "stop being so weird" XD BUT YOU LOVE ME, TAKE ALL THE WEIRD.

    2. I've had the same dilemma about considering filming with my camera. I might try it. I'll let you know if I do it sometime. Of course, the IDEAL would be a tablet, because you get the best of both worlds...but like I can afford that. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I think it's totally normal for more of your personality to show when you're alone - I'm the exact same. Probably if you and I met in person for the first time without knowing each other via internet, this would be our conversation:
      "......"
      "......"
      "How are you today?"
      "Good, thanks. You?"
      "Oh, I'm good."
      "Cool."
      Nod.
      Nod.
      "....."
      "....."
I'm super shy and quiet and reserved around people I'm not sure of or don't know well. The cliche is true - once I decide to open up, get ready for the crazy. :)
And I get the "you're a dork" look from Shawn A LOT. And sometimes he tells me to watch my mouth or quit with the zombies, or whatever. But hey, he signed on for this. :)
